INGREDIENTS NEVER USED IN TIHANA LUXURY SKINCARE PRODUCTS

Alkyl group:

Different members of the alkyl group, i.e. Methyl, Propyl, Butyl, and Ethyl Paraben are used to prevent microbial growth in the cosmetic products, thus increasing their shelf life. However, these chemicals have been found to cause skin allergies and rashes. Moreover, it has also been found that these chemicals hinder the proper functioning of different body hormones. When we apply the products containing these elements, they enter the human body and accumulate in the fatty tissues. From there, they disrupt the normal hormone functioning of the body, thus causing various diseases. A study of the breast cancer cells has found that there is a significant proportion of these chemicals in the breast cancer cells.

Di and Tri ethanolamine:

These chemicals are generally utilized in the production of the commonly used foaming agents. They have been known to cause skin and eye infections and are also the leading cause of hair and skin dryness. As these ethanolamine’s are amines, they can easily react with nitrates to convert in to nitrosamines that form cancerous cells. While these chemicals are only used in trace quantities, they only have negative effects if used for an extensive time period.

Petrolatum:

This is one of the most widely used cosmetic products. Often referred to as the petroleum jelly, this product is synthesized from different types of mineral oils. Contrary to the common belief, this cosmetic product has no benefit for the human body and does more good than harm to our skin cells. It can stop the proper functioning of the body’ own moisturizing mechanism and leads to skin dryness.

Diazolinyl and Imidazolidinyl Urea:

These urea compounds are used as preservatives. Recognized by the AAD (American Academy of Dermatology) as the leading cause of contact dermatitis, these chemicals when used in cosmetic products, release formaldehyde a very toxic chemical. As a result, they are very harmful to the human health and must be avoided at all costs. These chemicals are often labeled with two trade names, i.e.  Germall II and Germall 115.

Sodium Lauryl:

Sodium Lauryl and its derivatives are used in low-quality shampoos products and other foaming agents. Derived from petroleum and being readily available, this chemical compound has strong foaming characteristics and is often labeled as “comes from coconuts”. It causes dandruff, skin rashes and allergies.

Propylene Glycol:

It is formed by mixing vegetable glycerin with grain alcohol. Used under the names, PEG AND PPG, this chemical ingredient causes allergic reactions, rashes, and hives.

PVP Copolymer:

It is also derived from petroleum products and is widely sue din hair products such as hair sprays and styling aids. Although it is only used externally, it can be toxic to human lungs when inhaled. The particles in these chemicals make their way into the human lungs and settle in the alveoli, thus degrading their structure.

Steralkonium Chloride:

This chemical ingredient is a derivative of ammonia. Used in hair creams, gels and conditioners, it is highly toxic and causes various allergic reactions. Although very cheap and highly effective, the products containing this chemical must be avoided for one’s own personal health.

Synthetic Colors:

As the name suggests, these colors are added to the cosmetic products, in order to improve their appearance and make them loom appealing. Labeled as FD&C, these colors have no benefits and only cause damage to your body. They contain carcinogenic elements and are highly toxic to the human health.

Synthetic Fragrances:Same as the synthetic colors, the synthetic fragrances are used in cosmetic products to add an appealing smell to them. Being highly toxic, they cause skin rashes, dizziness, coughing, vomiting, irritations and headaches. With over 200 ingredient elements, they have many other negative effects and must be avoided.

Fluoride:

Fluoride is basically a waste product from the fertilizer industry. It is mainly used in a water purifying process known as water Floridization. Fluoride has a toxic value greater than lead, thus making it one of the most harmful chemicals for the human body. Use of Fluoride over an extensive period causes osteoporosis (brittle bones) and porous enamel.

Lead:

Although less toxic than Fluoride, lead still poses a great threat to the human health, if used regularly. It leads to various health and reproductive problems and has been banned from use in various products. Lead is mainly used in lipsticks to improve their shelf life, the products containing this element must be avoided at all costs.

Mineral Oil:

As the name suggests, this constituent product is extracted from minerals in the liquid form, i.e.:  Petroleum. We are already familiar with the adverse effects of the petroleum-based products, mineral oil is no exception. It clogs the skin pores and affects the waste removal system of our body. As it forms a layer over the human skin, the body systems can no longer eliminate the toxic elements that are harmful to our health.

Petroleum Distillates:

Usually used in the production of lipsticks, chap sticks and mascaras, these distillates break down into various chemicals that cause cancerous diseases. As the number of released chemicals is huge, these distillates also cause liver and respiratory illnesses.

Polyphenol:

Polyphenol are mainly used in the production of body washes and sprays. One of the main effects of the polyphenols is the increased infertility rate. While we tend to sue them for their characteristic smells and other features, they slowly degrade our reproductive systems and thus cause infertility. As they are I n direct contract with our bodies, a person suing Polyphenol based products is also at a high chance of catching cardiovascular diseases.

Sodium Chloride:

It is also referred as the “table salt”. Sodium Chloride is used to increases the density of different cosmetic products. In simple words, sodium chloride is used to market the products as thick and mineral rich, when actually they are not.

Talc:

As many of our readers may already know, talc is used in baby products such as powders. It is known to contain high quantities of carcinogenic chemicals and compounds. So, you should select Talc based products for your daily use.
